It inhabits limestone cliffs, rocky slopes, and moss-covered outcrops where seasonal moisture and mineral-rich substrates create favourable conditions for growth. The carnivorous leaves are covered in microscopic glandular hairs that produce a sticky mucilage used to capture small insects and other tiny arthropods.
