Dionaea muscipula 'Fake Dracula' is a cultivated Venus Flytrap selected for its dramatic trap form and resemblance to the famous cultivar 'Dracula'. While not the same clone, it became popular among collectors because it expresses exaggerated marginal teeth and a similarly aggressive appearance. Like all Venus Flytraps, its ancestry traces back to the bogs of North and South Carolina in the United States.

Mature traps develop elongated cilia that give the plant a fang-like appearance. Under strong light the trap interiors often develop rich red pigmentation which contrasts against the green foliage. The combination of colour and exaggerated dentition creates one of the more striking displays among modern Venus Flytrap cultivars.

'Fake Dracula' grows as a perennial rosette and requires a winter dormancy period. The defining traits are maintained through vegetative propagation, making authentic divisions highly sought after by collectors interested in unusual trap morphology. Like all Venus Flytraps, it captures insects using rapid snap traps triggered by sensitive hairs inside each lobe.
